Theme
This game is set deep within the jungles of South America, and ancient pyramids are visible throughout the lust green landscape. There are bushes, ferns, and tall trees. The sky is blue, and the background is visibly animated. Within the reels, there are a plethora of symbols that suit the whole adventurer theme. If you're a fan of Indiana Jones or the movie The Mummy, you'll appreciate the design and craftsmanship put into this game. Symbols
Toltec Gems plot is fairly easy to grasp. Clearly, some explorers have decided to embark on a difficult mission and search for treasure within these ancient pyramids. The pyramids themselves operate as the bonus symbols, while the treasure chests are the scatters. There are regular premium symbols, and there are card suits. The high paying symbols are the maps, the ancient priestess, the explorer and the backpack symbols. The explorer is the highest paying symbol, followed by the ancient prestress, the map and the backpack. The lower paying symbols are the card suits.
Special Features
There are no wild symbols on the Toltec Gems slots, however there are plenty of other bonus features you can indulge in. During the base game, each reel has a Pearl Collector. This function sits at the top of the reels, and whenever a player lands one of the various pearl symbols, they'll be added to the Pearl Collector. When five of the pearls are collected on any reel, ten free games will be awarded. The free games are played normally, but the play begins when one pearl symbol is positioned on the corresponding reel.
There's also the Pick Bonus Feature. If you land three or more Bonus Scatter symbols, you'll trigger the Pick Bonus feature. During the Pick Bonus feature, the game will reveal a Multiplier Award, a pearl symbol or a serpent god symbol. The multiplier will pay out immediately. The pearl symbols transfer to the player's collection in the base game, only after the Pick Bonus feature ends. If you land the Serpent God symbol, the feature will end.
This game also has a delightful free spins feature. The free games feature comes with a Diamond Collect Feature. Five pearls of the same type, or three or more scatters will trigger ten free games. During the free games, each reel has an associated Diamond Collection feature, which comes with a corresponding jackpot. if a diamond lands on the reel, it'll be moved to the associated collection. When the free games feature is complete, all reels with five diamonds collected will be awarded the related jackpot. All payline wins during the free games feature are multiplied by three, as well.
